A Government should do no more than ensure there be No Government

The ancient Greeks did voting right.

Each city state had its own practice but the jist of it was that once every decade a secret ballot was held and each citizen given a pottery shard on which to write his preferred candidate.

The candidate who won the popularly contest was then exiled from the city for a period of 7 years.

THAT'S how freedom was kept.
