HUMANITY - as understood by the TORAH - did not begin with ADAM & Eve

It began with Cain and Abel.

We learn about ourselves as human couples through the tales of Adam&Eve.

We learn about ourselves as individuals human beings through that brief, silent moment when Adam was alone with with no one to talk to.

And we learn about ourselves as Humanity through Cain and Abel.

The rest, as they say, is History.
