Here's how Maimonides phrases it:

“Every single person is commanded to care for each and every other person in the covenant as he cares for his own body.

“As was said (Leviticus 19:18) and thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself .

“He is therefore required to speak in praise of his neighbor and to be concerned for his financial well-being just as he worries for his own financial well-being and wants to see his own self honored.

“And one who enjoys clout through the shaming of another person? He shall have no place in the World To Come.”
