I wish you a Happy Sukkot, Happy Yovel, Happy Week and everything I wish for myself.
Here's my personal update and a request for your thoughts about asking the kindnest man I know for an interview on this channel about the continuing human horrors ongoing in and around Israel.
I have traveled the world looking for good people, and Rabbi Mordechai Machlis, while as human as you and I, is the greatest exemplar of kind living that I know.
I would like to ask him his thoughts about the war in Israel, his home country, and because I know that he shirks fame and honor I suspect he will only do it if he knows that he isn't imposing himself, but that you actually want to hear from him.

The way our world operates makes war inevitable.
The fundamental belief of our time is one of competition.
It's been said that the world has never been more connected and therefore is at its most empathetic. The opposite is true. The lived experience of humanity is now mediated through screens and power structures that leave us less connected and less influential than ever before.
The time has come for the fulfillment of the words recorded in Isaiah (2:1-5) when the House of Jacob shows the world the shared humanity of us all and a way forward, together, with no desire or need for war and killing ever again.
The reigning power structure stifles all human voices into half-literate internet exclamations that are so incoherent, hateful and obstinate that they reaffirm for the popular belief that state-run murder is the only solution to not being murdered ourselves.

There is another way.
