Reddit isn't a very intelligent place so the comments certainly aren't up to the quality of thought you're accustomed to, but popularity is its own intelligence.
Besides, among the reddit illiterati are a number of folk with actual intelligence just trying to be understood in the grunt language of internet commentary.

So in the longshot attempt at reaching the attention of one or two of them of any use beyond bedroom contemplation I dropped the following note.
Great, but how's that been working for actual Palestinians?
I created Hasbara before it went off the rails.
I can't believe it became (rightfully) such a dirty word.
My attempt was indeed TO TALK. If all we use are weapons, money, loyalties, and lawyers then one day I'll be stronger and you'll clean my shoes, and another day you'll be stronger and I'll clean yours.
That kind of endless war leaves little room for mutual cooperation - or even the simple joys of living long secure lives.
I have not found either Jews or Arabs to be more skilled than the other in the practice of Takiyya. I see no problem with talking.
*{Note: I practice what I preach. Despite not having my calls returned by those who were hired to amplify my ability to engage in hasbara ("explanatory") conversations, I am continuing to attenot to do so in my own little way. https://youtu.be/4AW2jr35bes }*
To make the point that honest talk is better than no talk I added the following response.
No doubt they'll both be down voted rather quickly but I’m doing what I can.
