Now. What if economic activity were forbidden for a full year.
Pick a country, say Israel, a small country that could and should do this. Or pick a larger country like America. Or pick the whole world.
We recently all lived in a world where economic activity was curtailed to near zero. There was plenty that was wrong about it of course but one thing that was right was that we saw it was possible.
Suppose we celebrate the biblically mandated Jubilee Year next year. From Yom Kippur, October 12, 2024 for a full year.
