But history only matters to the degree that it shocks us into the realization that the mythically evil Egyptians, or Assyrians, or Greeks, or Romans (or Americans from the perspective of the non-American) are US. We are all the same and our governments are just as bad and our cultures are just as anti-divinity as that of Nimrod’s people in Shinar.
