Tomorrow is a minor fast day within the Jewish calendar called the Fast of Esther. I’m tempted to provide a richly detailed discussion regarding whether this day should or should not be fasted - drawing from Zachariah, Talmud, History and Psychology - but that would add nothing to what God’s Prophet already said, and which I have read and translated - word for Hebrew word - in the Yom Kippur Haftorah video that is the central piece of the previous letter: Part 1: IRAN
Instead I’ll share the personal information that I myself do fast and have in fact been fasting today - for the past 24 hours now - for understandable reasons related to the birthday/anniversary of mine already recounted in yesterday's letter, “BORNEO”.
What I witnessed that day was told to (and recorded on the scene by) a CBS Radio reporter. I don't know how to find the clip and don't especially care to, particularly as I assume it was truncated into some meaningless radio-friendly sound bite, but if you do know how to find it, feel free! It would be interesting to hear for the very first time.
The full story of what happened to me, what I did in those hours of unimaginable horror, and how upon returning to my hometown of Jerusalem's Old City I immediately marched into Rabbi Noah Weinberg's office to volunteer myself as his soldier (leading to my becoming The Hasbara Rabbi) isn't terribly important right now except inasmuch as it speaks to who I am and why.
But once I am who I am, such gossip is best left to biographers and researchers while I myself get on with being that man.
And today is the day to share this video with you.
It is a video and message the likes of which no one else has made or would dare to make.
It took me three decades in fact to produce it, and then an additional 2 months to publish it, even though I knew for a fact that I was required to do so.
It speaks to that tiny demographic to which fully 30% of the Hebrew Bible is dedicated:
The Uber-Wealthy Orthodox Jewish Elite
Particularly those for whom those adjectives comprise the very essence of their public and private identities, as well as those of their insular neighborhoods, where they bask in all the joys of Judaism (such as celebrating Shabbat with personalized golden salt-and-pepper shakers surrounded by the the finest art) without being inconvenienced by the fact that their window dressing Judaism is a desecration of God’s Name, and bears no resemblance to God's actual interests at all.
Tomorrow is their favorite holiday.
On Purim they open their multi-million dollar homes to the enviously destitute and play the role of a nobility generously fulfilling its noblesse oblige through masqueraded largesse of self-congratulatory bacchanals.
And it’s crucially important that both they and the rest of us recognize this self-coronation as the sham intended for public display that it is.
This isn't how Rambam gave charity.
And as folk proud to claim that they have תורה וגדולה במקום אחד (Torah and wealth working together in harmony) they know good and well how Rambam says charity is to be dispensed.
HINT: NOT as public displays by regnants in castles capriciously deciding the fates of their suffering brothers amidst jokes and patronizing pats on the head.
All of the prophets address this crowd nearly exclusively!
They are called Cows (by Amos), Leaders of Sodom (by Isaiah), Whores (by nearly every prophet… with Ezekiel breaking X-rated ground through a similaic narrative of pure prurience that defines the interests of this community as identical to those of the most debased débauchées lusting after large dicks), Cannibals (by Micah) and every other dirty name in The Book.
The Bible breaks every rule of decorum whilst beholding the madness of Lawrence, New York and its sister communities.
The hypocrisy of these proud, and of course, public, pseudo-religious descendants of Abraham drove the prophets stark raving mad as they accurately foretold God’s bloody vengeance sure to arrive before 50 years were through.
So mad, and so truthful, they were that they broke The Last Taboo: Cursing at women.
Greeks, Romans and myriads of other ancients mocked and criticized women in accordance with their misogyny. It’s an ugly, and useless, read.
Latter texts, sacred and secular alike, critique entire communities. Having overcome boy’s club misogyny, they include women in their critiques only colloquially, ignoring entirely the fact that women, en masse, are a different type of person than men. Think of all the democratic heads of state thanking “all of the brave men and women who risked their lives on the battlefield” and you’ll get the picture.
Only The Bible intelligently curses wealthy women qua women.
To see what a break from the civilized norm this is, witness how even literally today most of the women considered to have been helpless victims of the Epstein cabal were not only over the age of consent on his island (presumably 16, the age of consent in most of the 50 states) but even over 18, twenty, and 29.
Anybody who watched my video from the trial would not be surprised by the ages of these women, but at the time that my video was published it was so heavily suppressed that YouTube would not even allow me to pay them to show it in select countries (including the US, the UK, and Israel), which is why so many people today are surprised to find that Epstein’s own tastes weren't exclusively for “the touch of the younger kind”. But enough of such tawdry matters and back to the point:
It's in the interest of most sexual beings to pretend that women have less agency than men. It allows men to believe that they “conquered” the woman who actually conquered them, and it allows women to dodge culpability for serious life choices that didn't work out quite right. It's a conspiracy that we all maintain because it's hot.
But God is quite above such matters. He made us all equal and equally culpable. If you doubt this, you have yet to reach the 3rd chapter of the Bible.
Thus, His Prophets speak the truth, no matter if it lessens the sexual ardor of the primates under review. Isaiah 3, Micah 2, and Amos 4 are all unblinking examples of God calling women to account by gender.

Listen to this! You cows of Bashan on the hilltops of Samaria who crush the weak and oppress the poor by telling your husbands to make more money so you can throw your parties. God Almighty swears on His Own Holiness that behold days are coming upon you when you will be carried out in baskets, and your little ones in fish baskets! Your fortified walls will be breached and you'll be carried through them to be tossed upon the trash heap. But by all means! Come to the House of God to sin, come to Gilgal and sin some more! Bring your sacrifices each morning and give your charity every 3 days, burn the finest thanksgiving incense and announce aloud your many gifts as you so love to do, Children of Israel. Thus saith The Lord, God.
The Great Vengeance, described most explicitly at the end of chapter 59 of Isaiah, which God has forestalled for thousands of years in the hope that we would get our shit together in time has yet to arrive, but if the secret prophecy of Elijah is to be believed (and most Jews have in fact believed it, so much so that it was the catalyst of both the Jewish Rebellion against Rome as well as the mission of Yehoshua of Natzeret) then it is coming any day now… Because the utopic society must exist - at least for a minuscule number of repentant survivors - before the Elijic timeline ends in 47 years.
Two days ago in Manila I spotted a lonely American fellow sitting alone. He’s married and living in Japan, having recently taken a job there after 15 years in the service and completing his MBA at Columbia University. We talked for a while and, unprompted, he brought up an incredible realization he had - that of all the peoples of history, only the Jews canonized into sacred writ the very worst things that anybody could ever possibly say about them.
